Yesterday Ian and I ventured off to the airshow and had a good time eyeing up all the ........Wait for it! planes on the ground and in the air, what did you think I was going to say! Wink We ended up along by the runway and waited for the air display to kick off,we were not disappointed, old planes and the very latest took to the skies, the highlight for me was seeing the Airbus A380 a double decker giant being put through it's paces,so large but so graceful,it sure took my breath away,if ever you get the chance to go to a display where this beauty is performing,I'm sure you will feel as I did,gob smacked to say the least. Here then is my workings of it,turned to mono using calculations in CS2 and a lith effect applied......Enjoy.
Mike.

Mike
Sometimes I wonder if we were looking at the same thing. You've turned this fairly basic image into one with a bit more punch and dramatism. I do find though that you have to work fairly hard to discern the aircraft from the background. Perhaps some of your tweaking with the lighting on it might have pulled it out.
Great day out though.
Cheers

Thanks for the comment Ian. Dark clouds scudding across the sky, rain falling and a wet tarmac, the plane was not going to be high lighted but merging into the scene,I know it wasn't like that  but I hope this is how it comes across. Thanks again. Mike.

Hi Mike

I think this is a rather good shot. Given the kinda dramatic treatment I don't mind in the least that some bits and bobs are a little lost. You have a different angle of view here than usual and the sky is quite dramatic. I should be rather pleased with this if it were mine.

Mike.
How good is this shot of the A380, nearly missed it with "Show unread posts" problem. Great Lith effect and so so dramatic sky you've produced. I love it. Many Thanks.
